Scope and Aims
Grecorromana. Revista Chilena de Estudios Clásicos is a journal edited by Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile). Its primary aim is to strengthen the study of the Greco-Roman ancient world in Latin America, including its development in Late Antiquity and its reception in later periods (Classical Reception). The journal is committed to highlighting Classical Studies produced in the region and integrating them into international scholarly debate. To this end, it provides a platform for the publication of original and significant research, whether through innovative theoretical or methodological approaches, or through new translations and commentaries on classical sources, particularly in Spanish.
Open Access Policy
Grecorromana is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is made freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are authorized to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, and to use them for any other lawful purpose, without the need to obtain prior permission from either the Publisher or the author.
The journal does not charge any fees at any stage of the publication process, including submission, review, evaluation, or publication. Neither authors nor readers incur any costs.
All content published in the journal is freely available without embargo periods or subscription requirements.
License and Copyright: The journal distributes all published materials under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. This license permits copying and redistribution in any medium, provided that proper attribution is given, and the license is clearly indicated. It does not allow commercial use and prohibits any modification, adaptation, or transformation of the original work.
The works published in Grecorromana. Revista Chilena de Estudios Clásicos remain the property of their respective authors, who grant the journal the right of first publication, as well as the right to host and make the texts available on other web platforms in order to ensure their preservation and wider dissemination, always in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License adopted by the journal.
Section Policies
- Articles: All research articles undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Book Reviews: Reviews are evaluated by members of the Editorial or Scientific. Board; when necessary, external review may be requested.

In recognition of the importance of producing and disseminating knowledge of the Classical world, Grecorromana maintains a strong commitment to open access. All content is made freely available to readers, and no publication fees are charged to authors.
